“Rikshawala” is an intriguing web series, which tell stories of common man and woman set in the backdrop of the colorful Delhi. The story primarily focuses on the life of the young and literate rickshaw driver named Kundan, who rescues a woman named Nisha who clearly intends to commit suicide. He falls for her and decides to make her girlfriend and thus, when he met Nisha he offered her education thus connecting their lives.
Overall, Kundan and Nisha get into the strong romantic relationships and their social context and cultural differences come to the forefront. Nevertheless, nothing can go smoothly, and they have to face their own dreams, Complexes! And, of course, the outside pressure.
The series narrates major aspects of life such as love, friendship, social class and roles the ability to stand back and empower oneself. It presents a live picture of India’s post-modern megacities, the rhythm and chaos of the city, clichés, and the spirit of the people. Being the drama full of charismatic characters, bright and sharp script and absolutely amazing visual picture “Rikshawala” can be considered both – entertaining and provoking.
Rikshawala web series cast features Jinnie Jaaz in lead role of the character, Shikha. She is lower middle class woman in her early twenties who is aspiring to be a singer. But then things change and she changes deities for men when she comes across Kundan, a rickshaw driver played by Dhiraj Kumar Rai. Kundan is a kind and a determined man who worked for the betterment of his family and he is from middle low class family. The two get married and start on a journey which has its course replete with hitches and stumbling blocks.
Manvi Chugh who is also from Delhi has been cast as Nisha, Shikha’s friend who is also her best friend. She is a hard working girls and very happy and encouraging to Shikha. Abhinav Raja is seen as Romli, close friend and co- worker of krbah’s character Kundan. He is a playful man and loves to mess around in some ways that he ends up getting into a lot of trouble.
The other stars are Shikha Ramya as Shikha’s mum and Dinesh Thakur as Kundan’s dad.
Rikshawala web series cast do a great job and clearly communicate their emotions to their audience. The otherwise splendid Jinnie Jaaz plays Shikha with the appropriate consciousness of the dreams she portrays, and which threaten her. Dhiraj Kumar Rai has done a good work as Kundan and revealed versatility in his acting skills in the movie.
The relations of the Rikshawala web series cast members are strong and genuine this brings the natural feel of the series into a reality. They were very good together, their conversations seem very genuine and people watching the series can easily relate to the characters.
