The lehenga can be simple or can have got zari, embroidery or mirror work or beadwork on it. Choli can be very fitted or not and can have no sleeves or short or very long ones.

- Kurta Pajama:
Kurta pajama is the most widely Haryana traditional dress.Pajama includes a long and tapering garment covering the upper part of the body and a garment similar to trousers worn along with the kurta.
It is draped plain or stictly embroidered with other forms of decoration exclusively at the front and base of the kurta.
In the case of the pajama it is also possible to have a straight cut or pleated.
- Dhoti Kurta:
The dhoti kurta is second type, it is more conservative garment, which is used in majority by elder people, or during some ceremonies.
It has dhoti which is a long piece of cloth, tied round the waist and legs and Kurta.
It is form fitting, and is generally a short sleeved garment with the option of additional embroidery.
Influence of Modern Fashion
Still, the conventional dressing code is frequently preferred, although modernity has affected the dressing code of people in Haryana to a great extent. Modern man wants to dress in a classical manner yet preserve elements of the contemporary fashion. For instance, women prefer buying salwar kameez with today’s slender cut and material, whereas men may put on designer kurtas and jeans.
